We offer a variety
of opportunities for those who wish to volunteer
their time and talents.
Assist teachers and/or special guests during the
workshops and provide one-on-one attention to students
Assist students in using the tools, art supply and
pictures to document their educational experiences
and creating their own scrapbook.
Help teachers and students to get ready for the
exhibition (local and sometimes out of state).
Field Trip Chaperone
Volunteer to be a chaperone on our educational field
trip. Assist teachers in field trip preparation
and during the trip.
This committee is responsible for planning and organizing
Annual Benefit Gala (dinner, live auction, entertainment)
and other special events during the year. Volunteers
will assist with mailings, promotion of the event,
assist auctioneers prior and during the event.
This committee is responsible for raising MTASA
operating budget. Volunteers are encouraged to come
up with new ideas for the fundraising committee.
Grants and Corporate
Volunteers with this committee work to obtain funding
for the educational projects through corporate sponsors
and through grant providing agencies. Strong writing
skills are preferred. Attention to details and deadlines
are required, as many of the grant agencies have
deadlines for consideration of applications.
The committee is responsible for writing newsletter
articles, press releases, website content, etc.
